of Jericho Road will be floored by this excellent all-male vocal
troupe. This Christmas album is packed with intricate vocal harmonies
that are more than ear candy. It's more substantive than candy.
Call it stew for the ears!
Their closest counterpart in the non-LDS but Christian music world
would be Take 6, a superb six-voice male group known for its a cappella
skills. Eclipse is great and is worthy of the comparison.
This eleven track album features outstanding vocals on every single
song. No money will be wasted on these guys. Of special interest
would be the original "This Year" which features some
vocal effects that sound like bells pealing. Very cool. Also interesting
was another original piece, a moving "Lullaby." The remaining
nine tracks include covers of existing and original Christmas tunes,
and trust me, there are no disappointments here.
This album earns a solid four for its satisfying musicianship.
