LDSMN REVIEW
"Let the Morning Come" contains the songs that accompany a fireside presentation on Joseph Smith and the restoration of the church. The music on the album is skillfully arranged and features, in large part, a full, rich choir.

Accompanying the nine vocal tracks are six instrumental "interlude" songs. Some of these interlude tracks are a bit slow and seem to lack variation, though others effectively convey the emotion of the situation. The best example of this comes in the song "We announce the martyrdom…" which melts with melancholy despair.

All vocal tracks involve some form of the choir, either female, male, or combined. There are also featured solos such as Dave Tinney singing on "Upon You, My Fellow Servants", and Stephen Dimond on "Let the Morning Come". These solo sections of the songs are effectively backed by the various choir arrangements. As would be expected in a project of this magnitude, each solo artist has crisp, powerful, and clean vocals. "Oh How Lovely Was the Morning" is sung by the female section of the choir, and is a unique arrangement of the hymn that gives it a fresh sound.

The disc closes with a spirited "Praise to the Man" alternating between male and female choir sections and closing with the choir singing together. In addition to the superb choir, the arrangement of percussion, strings, and horns makes a perfect accompaniment.

Not being able to connect the music to the actual fireside left some holes in the story for me, though I was able to catch the general theme of the album. Judging the music alone without having the experience of the accompanying fireside, the album felt a bit incomplete, though I'm sure that the CD would be a great addition to anyone's collection that has been able to attend the fireside.
