Jim
Anderson
Bio
James Anderson is no stranger to LDS music, having
followed it since the first big breakthrough projects
in 1974, which included 'Saturday's Warrior', and
'Like Unto Us'. In the early 80s he helped build KXCI
91.3 Tucson, he came up with those call letters and
the FCC approved them. He ran the first LDS music
program in Arizona, a half-hour program he drew up the
playlist for, it ran for a short time then went off
the air due to unrelated matters at the station,
mainly problems related to the start-up of new radio
stations.
But
it was not until 2001 that he began doing things
in the LDS industry, when he wrote and produced
'Millions Upon Millions' for the LDS Styles 2 CD.
Since then he has been working towards becoming a
producer and writer of both general and LDS music.
His philosophy there is that he will try to create and
promote music that will reach out beyond just the LDS
community as well as create music for it. He is
currently working on a compilation of music for
dances, and says it will be in varied popular styles.
