This is the second in a series on Christ as the Redeemer. McCabe and Moriarty created arrangements for the piano and violin duet with pleasing results. McCabe is the pianist and Moriarty is the violinist.

The pair created some beautiful settings of hymns and beloved Primary songs. They also provided extensive liner notes, citing the inspiration they received for each song.
McCabe has talents similar to Marvin Goldstein. He adds a little pizzazz to the piano arrangements by filling in the melody with some extra notes, but without making it too busy.
Moriarty has talent similar to Jenny Oaks Baker. She makes the violin sing. She differs from Baker in the area of arranging. Baker plays a lot of music arranged by others. Moriarty is capable of writing her own arrangements.

I enjoyed listening to see who was carrying the melody, the piano or the violin. On one song, "The Lord is My Shepherd," the duo was expanded to a trio of two violins and piano. It is gorgeous.
Sometimes they mixed different moods into a new cohesiveness, such as their combination of "How Gentle God's Command" and "There is Sunshine in My Soul Today."

Overall, I found this album very soothing. Every single one of the fifteen songs is conducive to the Spirit. It really brought the comforting aspect of the Spirit into my home. My three children, who are 5, 3 and 1½ all calmed down whenever I played this album. I give the album 4 stars.
